In recent developments from India, a serious concern has emerged regarding growing economic discrimination against the Muslim community. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, new job platforms are being introduced that cater exclusively to Hindus, raising alarms about systematic exclusion and economic marginalization of minorities, especially Muslims.
This trend has been seen as part of a larger socio-political shift in India, where religious identity is increasingly becoming a factor in economic and employment opportunities. The rise of such platforms not only undermines the secular structure of the Indian constitution but also highlights the vulnerability of minorities in the world’s largest democracy.
Hindu-Only Job Platforms Gain Ground
According to reports, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is actively supporting initiatives that appear to target Muslims economically. One such initiative is the launch of a job platform named “Call Hindu,” which provides employment opportunities exclusively for Hindu applicants.
This platform is designed with sections like “Hindu Zone,” “Trevo Hindu,” and “Hindu Mandi,” clearly indicating its exclusionary nature. These sections aim to create a separate employment ecosystem that only favors one religious group, effectively sidelining the Muslim population from vital economic participation.
The app’s launch event was led by Maharashtra’s minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, further cementing the notion that the initiative has the blessings of political leaders in power. The platform’s creator, Vishal Duraphe, is a former member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of BJP. He openly stated that “Hindu society must be ahead of all,” clearly indicating his ideological motivation.
Targeted Economic Boycott of Muslims
The introduction of the Call Hindu app is part of a growing trend in India where economic exclusion is being used as a tool to marginalize the Muslim community. The platform does not merely ignore Muslims—it actively excludes them. Registration on the platform requires an Aadhaar card, ensuring that only those identified as Hindus are allowed to participate.
Many political and social analysts see this as a calculated move to enforce a boycott of Muslims by depriving them of equal job opportunities. Prominent extremist leaders such as Nitish Rane and T. Raja Singh have publicly endorsed the economic boycott of Muslims, further reinforcing these dangerous sentiments.
Such public support from BJP leaders adds legitimacy to what is otherwise a clear violation of constitutional principles. These actions not only damage the social fabric of the country but also deepen divisions between communities.
Violation of India’s Constitution
The Indian constitution explicitly prohibits discrimination based on religion. Article 15 states that the State shall not discriminate against any citizen on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex, or place of birth. ‘کال ہندو’ ایپ نہ صرف مسلمانوں کو نظر انداز کرتی ہے بلکہ انہیں جان بوجھ کر باہر نکالتی ہے۔ اس ایپ پر رجسٹریشن کے لیے آدھار کارڈ لازمی ہے اور اس عمل کے ذریعے صرف ہندو شناخت رکھنے والے افراد کو شامل کیا جاتا ہے۔
ایپ کی اس پالیسی کو مسلمانوں کے خلاف معاشی بائیکاٹ کی ایک شکل سمجھا جا رہا ہے۔ انتہا پسند رہنما جیسے نیتیش رانے اور ٹی راجہ سنگھ نے کھلے عام اس بائیکاٹ کی حمایت کی ہے، جس سے اس سوچ کو مزید تقویت ملی ہے۔
بھارتی آئین کی صریح خلاف ورزی
بھارتی آئین کا آرٹیکل 15 واضح طور پر مذہب، ذات، جنس یا جائے پیدائش کی بنیاد پر کسی بھی قسم کے امتیاز کی ممانعت کرتا ہے۔ ‘کال ہندو’ ایپ براہ راست اس آئینی شق کی خلاف ورزی کرتی ہے اور بھارت کی جمہوری بنیادوں کو متزلزل کرتی ہے۔
قانونی ماہرین اور انسانی حقوق کے کارکنوں نے اس ایپ کی شدید مذمت کی ہے۔ ان کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ ایپ مذہبی تفریق کو فروغ دیتی ہے اور ایک ایسے معاشرے کی تشکیل کرتی ہے جہاں صرف ایک خاص مذہب کو ترجیح دی جاتی ہے۔

مسلمان پہلے ہی تعلیمی، سماجی اور معاشی میدان میں پسماندگی کا شکار تھے، لیکن اب انہیں ادارہ جاتی سطح پر بھی نظر انداز کیا جا رہا ہے۔ ‘کال ہندو’ جیسی ایپس اس امتیازی سلوک کو پالیسی کا حصہ بنا رہی ہیں۔
اگر یہ رجحانات جاری رہے تو بھارت نہ صرف اپنی اقلیتوں کو کھو دے گا بلکہ بین الاقوامی سطح پر بھی اپنی جمہوری شناخت اور ساکھ کھو بیٹھے گا۔ اب وقت آ گیا ہے کہ بھارتی عوام اور ادارے اس امتیاز کے خلاف آواز بلند کریں تاکہ ہر مذہب، ذات اور پس منظر سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد کو برابر کے مواقع مل سکیں۔
