He stated that lasting peace in the region is unattainable without resolving the Kashmir conflict in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He criticized India’s attempts to internalize the issue by altering the region’s demography and legal status, actions that violate international commitments and exacerbate tensions.

Addressing the recent hostilities, DG ISPR warned that any provocation from India would be met with a stronger and more resolute response from Pakistan. He highlighted that Pakistan’s military actions are measured and aimed at maintaining regional stability, but the country will not hesitate to defend its sovereignty and the rights of the Kashmiri people.
Ceasefire Dynamics and the Role of International Mediation
The recent ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, brokered with international assistance, reflects the fragile nature of peace in the region. DG ISPR clarified that the ceasefire was requested by India, indicating Pakistan’s position of strength and commitment to peace. However, he cautioned that any future violations would compel Pakistan to take necessary measures to safeguard its national interests.
Symbolic Gestures: “Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan”
To reinforce its stance on the Kashmir issue, the Inter-Services Public Relations released a new anthem titled “Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan” on Kashmir Solidarity Day. The song aims to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to their right to self-determination.
